My whole family wants to go to Glasgow,Scotland or somewhere in scotland except me, I want to go to London REALLY badly not scotland:( there is so much history art in london so how do i convince my family to want to go to London?

Best Answer:

Scotland is amazing...Edinburgh and Glasgow are both great cities...they both have a lot of history and art as well. The Glaswegian accent it awesome! There are also lots of beautiful castles in Scotland and the landscape is gorgious too... Are you flying from the USA? Maybe you could convince them to do both. Fly into London, spend a couple days there seeing the museums and gallerys you want to see and then take a cheap flight on Ryanair.com or easyjet.com to Scotland and spend the rest of your trip there.

What's wrong with Scotland? Go and enjoy it.

Both Glasgow and London are steeped in history and art. I hate London, but have to say if you're sightseeing, London is going to give you far more. Scotland overall is a truly beautiful place, but all cities have their plusses and minuses.

I would agree with others who have answered here. Some flights down cost just a pound and you can do both. I'd advise anyone to have a look at the West Country too, beautiful. London has lots of art, and history but not a lot of scenery.

its about compromise! ask them if you can all choose one thing that you all go and see while in the UK and when everyone has chosen you can then explain how very little money it would actually cost for all of you to go and see london for the day. by train or plane would not cost you any more for the entire trip for a average sized family than it would cost for one nights stay at any hotel.

I've been in Scotland twice and I fell in love with it. Edinburgh has some interesting places. The most obvious its Edinburgh Castle. If you go in August there's the Festival. I was in Inverness, Fort William, Skye Island. It's amazing, really. It's as beautiful as in the movies and pictures, maybe more ;) P.S. As a visitor London is VERY enjoyable. Not too much to live though :P

A wise choice, don't go, you'll regret it for the rest of your life.

Why not try Edinburgh - Its a very cultural and historic city, with many art galleries - is the capital of Scotland, so it's a capital city like London too. I'd always choose Edinburgh over London, as London is a bit of a S***hole in many areas
