Why are Muslim and Islamic Mosque allowed to be built in the suburbs of Western Countries ?

Why is it that Muslims are allowed to build their Mosque and Islamic temples, which further divides communities, as they are seen as a non inclusive closed door sect in cities and suburbs throughout countries like Australia? Yusef; the Constitution of the United States means NOTHING in Australia my friend, neither does any "first amendment".

Assalam Alaikum Well it's a little thing called THE FIRST AMENDMENT. More specifically the Establishment and the Free Exercise Clause. I'm an American and I'm a Muslim. I have rights like everyone else. Yusuf EDIT: oh haha I didn't realize you meant ONLY Australia since you said in "western countries", but no matter. The Constitution [of Australia] states that the Commonwealth "shall not make any law for establishing any religion, or for imposing any religious observance, or for prohibiting the free exercise of any religion, and no religious test shall be required as a qualification for any office or public trust under the Commonwealth" (section 116).

Are you American? If so? Then America was supposed to have been founded on pursuit of freedom of worship and not the dictates of any government or king. But if you're going to dictate where Muslims may or may not worship, then you're headed down a very Nazi path.

It's called freedom of religion, and everyone deserves it....I don't care what religion you practice, what your citizenship is, but we all have our different beliefs and it should be okay in society to express them!

The same reason as any place of worship is built-- Freedom of religion and a need for it in the community.
